I have been looking at the new Night vision watches from Victorinox Swiss Army online, and I must say I am quite impressed.
The night vision brand from Victorinox has been around for a few years now, and I believe that this new version is the third generation of the Night vision watches.
The Night vision watch has a Swiss quartz movement, and a button on the left side that can activate a brilliant blue light on the dial of the watch, or a white light LED on the top of the watch that can be used to navigate a dark room, or to show your position in an emergency.
A few years back I actually purchased the Night vision II watch (the previous generation of the Night Vision) , and I had that watch with me for about four years, and used it in all sorts of travel, climbing, repelling and more, and that watch really took a beating and always worked like a charm…….
Until it met a very clumsy watchmaker that scraped the coils in the movement while changing batteries, and it unfortunately never ticked again.
Here are the last known pictures of my late Night Vision II.
You can see on the marks and scratches in the case that this watch had a very buisy life. You can also see the blue “dial illumination” light comming from the 12 o’clock position in one of the pictures.
