For anyone that really likes their watch, but are getting bored of the look of the watch it may sometimes be a good idea to start by getting a new strap, instead of buying a new watch……..
I actually change straps quite often on many of my watches, and I often get a new appreciation for a watch that was falling out of the watch circulation.
A strap change for many watches really changes the watch in a dramatic way, to the better or worse depending on the watch and strap.
Here I have a really regular Casio edifice EF527D-1A watch, that comes on a stainless steel bracelet, and does look pretty good on that bracelet considering the price of the watch.
The watch dial of the Edifice is very busy, due to the chronograph sub dials and the slide rule internal bezel.
With the watch being stainless steel, with chromo hour markers and hands, I thought that the stainless steel bracelet was a little bit too much for this watch, so I did some experiments, and here you can see some of the pictures of those experiments.
My personal favorites are the Isofrane and the leather straps (straps are 22 mm wide)
